Help!
does anyone know where I can find any information, manuals, parts, etc. for this tractor? My retired dad just bought one and I can't find anything on it.
Thanks!
Ed

Ed, This is definately a Gray Market tractor. Our dealership has run into this model several times. The customers are always unhappy. Dealers do not service any parts, and cannot even have them used on their lots without fear of losing their franchise. Alot of these were reman'd overseas, then repainted, imported and wholesaled to used jockeys as regular Kubotas by MCConnell, a company in Western NY(same co. distributing those yellow Chinese tractors). They are good tractors until they break, and they have been over here a while now. Usually the PTO shafts spin counter cloclwise and have different splines than US attachments use. I feel bad for your Dad, my advice is to sell it while it's running and find a different compact tractor. Keep in mind, this is not Kubota's fault, they never intended for those tractors to be here, and were not responsible for their importation. Pete

Lance-i looked the L2002 overtoday where you indicated... the whole thing has
gotten a repaint sometime in the past and I couldn't find any plates where you said.
It is a 3 cyl. diesel (engine says 1299 cc 1G something or other). However, I have found
a pic of one just like it at a website:
http://www.bets.it/tr/image/kubota/L2002.htm
Also, I found it listed in the following website as gray market:
http://www.kubota.ca/press.cfm?itemid=30
Here's a company in Japan that has some spec's and lists a used one for sale:
http://www1.sphere.ne.jp/delmundo/farm/farm2.htm
This website doesn't work for me (they may be down) but they list a manual
(I think):
http://www.homesteadtractor.com/manparts.htm
The picture above is the exact model we have here.
I really hope you can help.... thanks!
Ed

Lance-
From what I have found on-line, it is
DEFINITELY a gray-market tractor. Of course,
there are no English decals on it and we have
no books on it at all. It is a 3 cyl. diesel
and has the deep-lug tires (Brigestone) on it.
I'll check it out in the morning to see if I can
find a model number on the engine. It does have
a Serial number of 21895 on it.
Thanks a bunch for offering to help!
