County 1174 top speed should be 22.54 mph or
36.27kph.which was very fast for a tractor
when that was built. It should have got a 7600 tranmission but County where well known for altering crown wheels etc.Did your tractor belong to the MOD when new? Where are you in the uk?

Our County was brought from a dealer in Hampshire in 1989, not sure if she is ex mod. We are in West Sussex.

Just had a look in the files - according to the V5 she was sold at a Government surplus sale in 1988, and the general opinion is she is ex-Forestry Commission.

The evidence all points to it not being standard agricultral spec, has it had a blade on the front? It might have belonged to the RNLI,Is the three point linkage complete?

The 3 point linkage is complete but has been fitted with quick-hitch link arms from I think a Series 10 tractor, possibly the 6610 which used to be here. There is no sign of any blade. Thanks for the help.
