[Return to Forum] Author [expand] [Modern View] Bruce 07-20-2000 15:39:05 207.65.236.29 152 Report to Moderator I have a 1250 massey ferguson 4 w.d........ when the loader bucket is loaded we have alot of noise it sounds like the transmission,,,,, but with weight on the front end it makes me think it could be comeing from the front differential nnnn any ideas ?? I'm not sure what your problem is. I assume it makes the noise when moving? And only when you have weight in the bucket? Mine ate the wheel gearing in the right front last fall (that was a very quick $650 just in parts). Personally, I don't think the tractor is rugged enough to be using with a frontend loader a lot -- it's pretty rough on that ittybitty front drivetrain. Then again, the guy I got mine from used it as an excavator... But I'd say the problem is somewhere in your front axle or steering if the symptoms only manifest themselves in motion with weight in the bucket. Do they get worse when you turn? Good luck, John.
