Hello, I will tell you the facts that i know. I have worked for Nebraska test results since 1988. John deere is very efficient tractor they are under rated when it comes to all around good tractors. Case IH bigger tractors now are as good or slightly better then JD. But when both are 5 years old JD has less breakdown time with 0% power lost. C IH will lose 2% of power every 5 years. Now other tractors like ACGO,White an Massey are also good tractors.Acgo allis is is real close up there with JD an C IH at cheaper cost with cheaper parts. But the down fall is dealerships. there are not many. White tractors also good, but have bad resale, Same with massey. I get asked all the time what is the best tractor made. It is hard to say but my opinon is under 50hp would be Massey fergusion. 50hp to 100hp would be John deere. 100hp to 150hp would be C IH 150hp to 200hp would be a tie JD an ACGO 200hp an over well they are so close right now. In 5 years we will know. I hope i did not upset anyone. But the facts are todays tractors are all good. they always will have good an bad ones Follow Ups: |

| For what its worth,BLUE is as good as it gets! The older they get the more power they will make. The ones with the turbos will do even better.I have two of them righ now,and every year I turn them up a notch or two. What started out a tractor that would only pull a twelve foot disk will now pull a twenty footer with no problem.Lets see a JD do that. That why its Blue for me.Bud Follow Ups: |

| BUD, I have a 1979 ford 9700 with turbo an i also have 1979 Allis chalmers 7045 turbo Smaller tractors i have a 1969 ford 8000 an a 1977 Allis chalmerS 7000. I have had these 4 tractors for many years an i think you need a lesson in power The allis chalmers 7045 pulls a 20 foot disc no problem. 9700 will pull it but you really know it is there. The ford 8000 is the biggest dog i have every owned. I would sell it but no one wants it. Allis chalmers 7000 is twice the tractor that the ford 8000 is. You can turn up fords but still dont have what Allis chalmers has. Follow Ups: |

| If Agco parts are cheaper than JD or Case IH you live in a different part of the country than I do. Our Agco dealers are uaually 50-100 percent higher than anyone else. Follow Ups: |
