Replacement cab metalwork parts are difficult to obtain. Mechanically they share most major components with other MF models from the period, I remember being told (dont know how true this is) that the tramsmission and drivetrain of the 699 could cause problems due to the extra power/ torque of the 6 cylinder engine when used on heavy draft work.
