The rear end in our 450 sounds rough....I've been told to run straight Hydralic fliud in the rear end the whole time I've had this thing. Is that right? or should it be a heavier oil? Please pass on the wisdom, because I hunted up a manual on this thing and its outragous...Thanks in Advance |

| Hello,I don't think I ever saw a case 450 that takes 90 wt in the trans finals yes but not the trans. if you have a small hyd pump on the right front side of your engine with a hose going to a steel filter/screen housing then it takes TCH or hyd/trans oil.I hope i am not too late.Good Luck Ed |

| The manual price won"t look outrageous if you were supposed to run some other type of fluid in it. Me thinks that it should be a GL-4 or 5 type gear oil, not hydraulic fluid. I"m not that familiar with the specific model you have but most of the crawler machines I am familiar with had separate hydraulic systems from the final drives. |
