Modern Tractor Discussion Board Topic: Mahindra tractor [Return to Forum] Author [expand] [Modern View] plowboy 1 03-23-2009 19:07:38 69.205.60.20 20320 Report to Moderator Model 4500. This was bought new and though it is pushed pretty hard, it is not abused. Lately it grinds when using the shuttle to go into reverse. Not going into forward. Just a little ggrrr, then it goes right in. Any ideas on what"s going on, and can I fix it? (No, I can"t buy a JD.) They could be worn because of extensive usage, ie a loader tractor, going between forward and reverse, and also poor maintenance/tranny oil neglect...
