But you mention you've checked that. The only other thing I can think of is something might be going on with the control lever position switch(es). On my Dixie, if the levers are not moved outward and I apply the brake, it will kill the engine. Sounds like maybe that switch is working backwards(?). I tried again..... The arms all the way out and I drop brake lever engine cuts out. Not sure why it would do that as it sounds like you have the machine in the correct configuration (levers out) before releasing the brake. If the brake is on, and you move the levers inward, it should kill the engine to prevent possible damage to the brakes and/or hydros. If the levers are in, and you apply the brake, it also should kill the engine for the same reason. Given the two symptoms together, I'm leaning toward the lever position switch(es). Sounds like it/they think the levers are not out. However, the problem with this is you should not be able to start it(?). Maybe there's some combination of sensors/switches (seat, lever, and brake) that is not happy, possibly losing its state as another one is made, thereby confusing the machine. I see this a lot in my job, but I'm no mower expert.
