Does anyone know if there is enough clearance to put 42" tires on a 1486 cab tractor? I know they use step rims, 38 to 42, on fender tractors because you can raise the fenders. I am wanting to go from 20.8 X 38 to 18.4 X 42

What is the reason it seems so many people are moving to 42 inch tires?
Thanks Reaver

I buy used tires for what I do, custom bale hay and am on the road a lot, 38's are becoming very hard to find because most newer tractors use 42's and around here there several in the salvage yards

They will clear because those two sizes are the same height.
