If you go to this link and put "5210" in your model search you can see the parts breakdown.Did They specify if it was the piston & springs in the master valve or inside the axle housing? I got a hunch they are talking in the pedal master valve assy. |

| Haywood, thanks for the reply. I went to the site you recommended and it"s great. I"ll bookmark it for future needs. They didn"t say which springs & pistons may be a problem. He said he"s seen this problem before with the 5210s and he knows what is needed. He"s going to make a parts list and get me a price and then one for labor. I"ll bet it"s something I can do myself. I"ve been restoring tractors for a year now and I"m capable of doing it, but, I don"t have a manual. They want (get this) $300 for a service manual. Can you believe that? Thanks again. | Many service manuals are in that range or higher. Divide by your favorite dealer or repair shop's prevailing labor rate to see how much it's really worth in time. |

| | Sure Dan, Glad to help. thinking maybe the springs are weak in the foot valve not returning the spool like it should..another hunch. I worked for a Kubota dealer and many years with a IHC Truck dealer. $300 sounds like a lot of money for a good Manual until you weigh in the alternative then it doesn"t seem so bad. If you plan to have the tractor for a long time it would still be worth getting. Especially for a 5210 model tractor. Just some more friendly advice from a Mechanic who used to make estimates for repairs and deliver bad news......and sometimes good news.:<} |
