The machine shop did take about .040 off the manifold. He was skeptical of the two piece design and maybe it was warping under the heat. It did break a couple of the bolts and when we ordered new ones from JD they sent the wrong ones and didn't say anything about an upgrade.

We used the R523525 bolts and R73783 spacers that are shown on the 8020 series parts manual

Torque them at 35 ft/lbs.

Actually that is the bolts that they sent but did not include the spacers. They were too long and we needed to get the tractor back in the field so we got the studs from a local auto parts store. Thanks for the help. Hopefully we have it fixed this time.
