Has anyone had any experience replacing seals on the lower load control 3pt shaft on a JD 2550. Debating if I should tackle it myself or not?

Not a bad job.

Drain hyd oil,put L/D lever under seat in "D",remove 3 pt draft arms, slide shaft out, inspect shaft & bushings for wear, remove old seals with a dental pick, warm seals in warm water or oil, install seals in grooves, install shaft/draft arms & shim side to side slack out of shaft.

This would be an excellent time to check hyd sump screen for cleanliness.

Install hyd oil.
