My Branson has it posted in the spec sheet along with bore, stroke and all. Mine is 0.046 gallons/hour/hp. So if I am working my tractor and using all it's HP for one hour it's 65x0.046 = 2.99 (gph) for my Cummins 4 cyl naturally aspired, 2007 model.

Also, HP is (torque x rpm)/5252. If you have the rpms you have the ponies. Torque is inherent in the engine and is a certain value at a certain rpm regardless of the load.

If you load the engine beyond it's capability it cannot sustain the rated rpms applying it's available torque and rpms will fall but torque will sometimes rise as rpms fall (depends on the slope of the torque curve) till you hit the peak of the curve.

Once you lug past the peak the engine will crater as the torque falls rapidly.....time to push in the clutch, let the engine recover and lighten the load.....drop down a gear or two. My engine peaks at 1600 and is relatively flat on out to 2600 rpm where it's rated at 65 hp.
