Like Jim says, check for fuel flow from the tank. There was problems with this series of tractors in the early going with plastic cuttings being left in the tank from manufacturing then ending up in lines etc causing restrictions. Does this tractor have left and right tanks? If so the crud can build up in the T where the 2 tanks are plumbed together. Has the in-line screen been changed? How well does it start after sitting at least overnight. Missing and stalling after a few hrs of shut down could mean fuel draining back due to leaking supply lines. Unfortunatly you have started at the expensive end first.

I suppose you have good air & fuel flow to engine? Has inj pump timing been checked? Is tank venting? Is fuel return line not plugged?
