The original subject was "Re: Bush Hog Backhoe Oil Filter Cross Reference".

I called the manufacturer and was given the following information:
Oil filter p/n - 50032929
Need 7 gallons of 10W-40
Crossover filter p/n"s:
S-28 Cross Fluid Power
LHA products SPE-15-10
NAPA 1551 (NAPA crossed one of the above numbers to their filter. Works on my backhoe just fine.)

This should save some people the time and hassle of finding a reasonable price for a simple filter. By the way, oil is used in the (I have the 3 point hitch PTO driven model) backhoe instead of hydraulic fluid, because the oil handles any heat generated better than hydraulic fluid.
