With a little detective work on when this happens.
Only in low range light is on. ... Move it to hi range light off.
Problem is in the low range hydronic circuit.
How do I fix this. Thanks

Ok : ( you may be right. I checked the psi ...in hi range it reads 150 psi ..... put it in low range it goes to 105 and light comes on. Is there a psi relief valve or reg valve that could have a week spring. ????? I read that in hi range is applied by belleville washers in the clutch pack. In low .....hydraulic psi applies the clutches in the planetary Thanks for your replies
What is the pump suppose to put out.

IIRC 165 psi. I meant hi-lo leaking in my other post not pto. The hi-lo pressure relief valve is on the shift cover. I'll guess a supply tube sealing o-ring is leaking or has a split.

Do you need to split the tractor to fix the o-ring or can you gain
access by removing shift cover.

I agree with Tech 7. More than likely your tractor has a leaking hyd oil pto clutch supply tube or tube sealing ring

I think you are on the right track.....One way to test is to connect a gauge to the low pressure system in the tractor on the shift cover and monitor the difference in pressure as the hi/lo lever is shifted. Once you have proved the leak you will likely be splitting the tractor to repair a failed packing in the hi/lo clutch or the piping that feeds it.
If you post this on the JD board you may get more input.
