If engine turns over but won't fire up and has a rotary inj pump try pouring cool water on inj pump then attempt to start hot engine. If it starts then inj pump wear is the "hot starting" problem.

Yes it has a rotary pump and I will try the cold water and see what happens. Any ideas on what would be a good operating range for engine compression ?

Compression pressures for the 16.3 compression ratio engine should be 450-500 psi at 14.7 psia atmospheric pressure.

One more thing I didnt menchion is when your going down a hill with no load under the engine and holding itself back slightly it will put out a constant haze of white smoke like unburnt fuel out of the exhaust. I put the tractor back together I will run it tomorrow and see if I can get it to act up.
