Friend has a 6600 Ford with 8 speed transmission. No dual power. Was in reverse and the tractor just quit moving. No noise, no clutch slippage or anything unusual before this happened. The tractor still has a full clutch petal and you can shift into any gear forward or reverse with the engine running. It just will not move at all. The PTO and lift still work. I'm thinking maybe the coupler from transmission output shaft to rear end has stripped the splines. Anyone else care to chime in?
