On the engine the injector nozzle has a rubber seal. One blew out probably from age. It runs no different no power loss. Just a annoying tis tis tis tis tis tis sound it makes unless I take a rag and cover it then it is fine. I tried to get the inj. out but won't budge. Even cranking the engine didn't pop it. So is there a way to get it off for replacement or could I use a RTV goop and use that? And I know that for the TA you move the lever fast I usually have the foot clutch in because of changing gears and in H3 and 4 it so jumpy when I engage it so I do it with the clutch in. I doubt it matters as long as the TA lever is moved quickly. Follow Ups: |

| the rubber seal has nothing to do with your injecter leak it is only a dust seal to keep dirt out. the brass washer at the bottom of the injecter is leaking .take a pair of vise grips were the claim goes on the injecter ant twist it back and forth . if it dont come lose you will have to get a puller. we made one out of a end off a old injection line welded it to a threaded rod used a old wrist pin and itsa nice injecter puller. like doug said drain your water . if the injecter dont come out the brass tube and injecter will. | Ty, you need to replace the injector. But if it is tight like that you need to drain the antifreeze all out and pull the injector and the brass sleeve out all as one. The injector sits in a brass sleeve that is driven into the cyl head. It is surrounded by antifreeze so that is why you drain it first. There is a adapter you screw on the injector and use a slide hammer to pull it all out as one. There is also a special tool to drive in the new brass sleeve. Maybe you canborrow the tools or take it to a qualified shop. Good luck. Follow Ups: |
