go figure I borrow my buddies 3cyl deisel 4110 and it starts to run like it has a miss. So I check the fuel filter and its bad with gunk. I change it and the dumb thing wont start. Seems #1 was the only cyl trying. We take the injectors in and 2 are plugged bad and 1 is partially. So I figure we got it made. It barely starts I t still sound like it has a miss but all 3 cyl act the same when the injector is cracked open so. Could the pump be out of time some how? It's a CAV. Or does this sound like a burnt valve( wich I would think would be isolated to one cyl.) Any help would be appreciated. Thanks WRP

Well, horseman, without further information or troubleshooting being done, I guess it's possible that if the pump had enough gunk run through it to foul injectors, it may very well have fouled the pump to the point that it is now marginal. Sounds like you might need to call in some "expert help" of some type. Good luck. Keep us posted on your outcome.
