a market gardener friend of mine has a fiat 70-66 and a SAME silver 80 (both non cab 4x4 models) they both do a lot of idling with harvesting vegetables, our question is that the fiat hour meter runs slower than the SAME one, is the fiats hour meter engine speed dependant? is the SAME's one electronic? therefore is the SAME's hour meter ticking over at the same rate no matter what the engine revs?

any suggestions?
