I found a real nice looking 154 Leyland for sale. How much horespower does it have? Does it have live PTO or live hydraulics?? It's in really nice shape, what should I pay for it? Owner wants $4900 Thanks for your help.

I own a Leyland 154, and thets just say, you have a bad deal. I bought mine for Ģ600 in the UK and thats a brilliant example I have. The loader can handle a round bale, but that is quite heavy on the front tyres. It has either 24 or 30hp, I am not that sure. It has a pto that can run at 540 or 1000. It also has hydralics, but the return is pumped by gravity.

overall,
DONT BY THAT AT $4900! BADS DEAL!

leyland tractors have never been really popular here in se texas, but i have seen a few. the biggest problem with them is they are british made and have no apparent dealers here, or at least in se texas area that i know of. i would be wary of such a machine if i could not easily get parts for it. to me $4900 sounds high for an "oddball" tractor.

....Not only that, Leyland tractors are no more. I should imagine that guys over here have problems finding spares, although there is a website out there somewhere devoted to Nuffield / Leyland / Marshall tractors.

Hi, thats an awfull lot of money for such a small
tractor, Here in Ireland you would be hard pushed
to get 1500 Euro (1800 dollers) for one of them.
$4900 would get you a a tidy Ford 4600 or 5000,
More power stronger build and superior brake
