I'm thinking of downsizing my IH 686 big guy to a tiny Kubota BX1800 or BX2200. Want to stay with at lease 3 cyl so its runs smoooother. How good are the little Kubota's and what should I look out for? Suggestions comments alternatives. Follow Ups: |

| I don't think they are even comparable! For example the BX2200 weighs only 1300 pounds. It is intended for lawn mowing and similar light duty. I have a BX2200 that I got to use with a 42" rototiller and like it. It works well, but is intended for very different duty than a full-sized "farm tractor". The only thing I can think of where they might do the same thing is with a scraper blade/ plowing snow. I traded a usable 6' blade for a 5' blade to use with the little Kubota; talk to me in the spring after winter in Wisconsin and I'll comment on the Kubota performance here. Follow Ups: |
