Hi, If you have an ohm meter, you can touch one lead to each prong on the plug on your heater. It should show a little resistance. If the meter doesn't move, it means the circuit is open and the heater is shot. If you can measure how many amps the heater is pulling when pluged in you can figure how many watts it is operating at. I just checked mine and it seems to pull about 4 amps or about 500watts (amps x volts = watts) I hope this helps and I also hope you don't get up many more mornings when its that cold. Good Luck, Rog
