Larry, I am not a Maxxum expert but I had a similar problen on a old blue; the external hyd. pipe from pump to rear end was shrinked on supply, starving the pump; I replaced the pipe and then everything worked fine in very cold wheather. I ignore if Maxxums have external exposed hyd. line between pump and rear end. Good luck, seeing green again with your red.
