Re: Need a Good Small TractorPosted by matthew on July 11, 2000 at 04:11:44 from (210.55.113.44): In Reply to: Need a Good Small Tractor posted by Tom Detweiler on July 05, 2000 at 13:09:58: what about an iseki....or is that a swear word over there! i have heard good comments on the older iseki 318, which was 18 horse, hydro, all the beerys.... iseki is part of the AGCO group and produces the smaller tractors for the massey ferguson....and helped design the 2200 ferge.....which is similar to the landini glodus....but that is a different story if ya find a second hand japanese import or something like that don't be affraid of them....just investigate the likely hood of finding parts!.....in our case...iseki in the 1980's had a strong place in the market catering for tractors 14-105hp (dads had 7 of them....the smallest was a 2160 hydro)....so parts for us in New Zealand generally isn't a problem...but it may be different for you!..... out of interest.....the international (caseih)235.....234 or what ever they were....the small range was japanese assembled as well.....it was a mitsubishi! they were 15hp to 25hp....most of the large manufacturers did this to complement their machinery ranges....and minimise R&D costs
