I have a manual shift Deere 970 with 670 clock hours about half of the hours using the front bucket so a lot of clutch work. I am getting a lot of slippage. How do I adjust the clutch or is there another problem? There is a short clutch linkage with about 1/8" of thread in front of the jam nut and 1 inch behind. There is a long linkage going to the differencial--it does not move when the clutch pedal is depressed.
