need help with PTO chipper purchase decisionPosted by John on March 03, 2001 at 17:50:55 from (208.192.100.83):
I have a sizable woodlot under a forest stewardship program. With all the pre-commercial thinning and harvesting I have a lot of brush to take care of. I have been looking into getting a PTO chipper for my 35hp tractor. I have looked at Valby, Patu & Bandit. Any guidence would be appreciated. What about the hydraulic feed? My tractor has a hook-up in the rear for tools. I feel that a unit that would easily handle 4"-6" pine poles and smaller hardwood brush would work fine. Thanks
