Re: Are there dealers who won't let you demo tractors????Posted by Kermit on March 13, 2001 at 17:50:38 from (64.243.154.110): In Reply to: Are there dealers who won't let you demo tractors???? posted by Woodbeef on March 12, 2001 at 04:25:39:
I purchased a new JD 5105 last spring. My other tractor had gotten in bad shape, needed major repairs, and I had hay to do soon. I went to my Deere dealer. The dealer visited with me about what my needs were and then he we looked at a tractor he felt would do what I had in mind. I told him of my need to do hay VERY soon. The Deere dealer sent the new tractor to my farm for me to use to put up my hay over the weekend. The Deere dealer told me that if I liked it and wanted to buy it that was great. He said if it wasn't big enough I could at least do my hay and he'd find a tractor better suited to my needs, or if I didn't like it at all he'd take it back and I could forget the whole deal. Didn't seem like I could lose. I used the tractor to put up the hay, liked it, and bought it. So far I'm very happy with my new Deere. My dealer has been very good to work with, and seems like a good guy.
