New Holland 1715 won't start

I put a new battery into my New Holland 1715 Diesel, 4WD; but, it will not start. When I turn the key, I get no indicator lights and no reaction from the starter. Seems as though something is disconnected or totally inoperative. All connections are correct and tight. The only think that was disconnected was the battery terminals. What should I check next?
