Hi Pat, Medfarm in 100 percent correct. I work in a dealedship, and when under a hard pull, you should be able to see the front tires scratching a little as you go. You don't say what you are pulling, but a place to start would be a weight ratio of 70/30 to 60/40, depending on the equipment being pull type or mounted, and the amount of draft. Company reps. will tell you its a Mechanical Front Wheel Assist, not a four wheel drive. Good luck
