Selcect o speed was not that bad. We had a Ford 5000 for a lot of years. It worked around 9000 hours, without any major problems. The transmission was god with the potatocombiner. Secondly I dont agree that the Perkins engines pulls better than the Ford does. The PowerStar engines used in the Ford tractors from 91 and forward are exellent. Both on pullpower and the lasting is among the best.
