Selcect o speed was not that bad. We had a Ford 5000 for a lot of years. It worked around 9000 hours, without any major problems. The transmission was god with the potatocombiner. Secondly I dont agree that the Perkins engines pulls better than the Ford does. The PowerStar engines used in the Ford tractors from 91 and forward are exellent.
