Re: full time / part time farmers, with what equipmentPosted by Kev on May 14, 2001 at 11:57:21 from (152.163.204.67): In Reply to: full time / part time farmers, with what equipment posted by tommyw on April 26, 2001 at 17:27:41:
We are part timers too, used to be full time but have had to diversify i.e. B&B and running a 'open farm centre'. We run a 1990 Ford 7810 as the main workhorse, a '92 Case 895XL for day-to-day work, a '89 Ford 6810 with a Quicke loader, a '73 Ford 5000 and a '79 (?) Volvo BM Valmet 404. We have 750 acres, 200 put out for grazing, 120 for grass and the rest a mix of Barley and Wheat. We are in the south of England.
