You might do better asking this question at the Profi site, but I'll take a stab at it. The 05 Nordic series was the result of the joint collaberation of Volvo BM and Valmet, that formed the company Scantrac for the marketing of their tractors in 1979. The tractors were marketed under the name Volvo Bm Valmet at first, and painted red and black. In 1985 Valmet bought out Volvo BM's ag tractor business, and went back to calling the tractors Valmet only. The 05 series came out in late 1982,the smaller 305 and 405s came later.

The 405 has a 2.7 lt 3 cyl, turbo engine developing 61 engine hp. With max torque of 220 Nm at 1450 revs. It weighs 2710 kgs.

Does your's have the 8/4 or 12/8 tranny? overall how has it performed? Any problems? How do you like it?

You might want to check out: www.valtra.com,and post at www.profi.com
