Chains for a JD-750Posted by Fawteen on March 06, 2009 at 10:56:12 from (216.75.21.242): I have a 4wd JD 750 compact that I use for blowing snow in the winter. This winter has been about as much ice as snow, and traction is becoming a problem. I"m thinking I want to chain "er up before next winter. It has 9.5x24 rears. I checked tractortirechains.com and found a pair of double rows for $185 which seems pretty reasonable. I think doubles make sense as they"re less likely to fall down in between the lugs and become useless. Two questions: 1. Do chains tend to tear up the lugs on tires? It"s got a brand new set of Firestones on it and I"d hate to tear "em up. And, B) Got a better price/source for chains?
