The whole 50 series were excellent tractors, the DT (standard tranny) while not real sophisticated comparet to the HST (hydrostatic tranny) was virtually bullet proof. A well maintained 2250 will make a good tractor for many years. One thing to check is if the front end is loose due to the loader; giver a high speed run for a few yards and see if the front end wobbles. Pete
