On the right front of the lift, there should be a responsiveness lever that about 1 and 1/2 inches long. It adjusts how quickly the lift moves up, and you should be able to adjust it with your fingers. Turn to the right, and it moves a little quicker. Some lifts "jump" if turned up too much. Check the position of this lever and turn it back counterclockwise and see if it helps or changes the lift movement. Worth a try before going into the hydraulic system.
