Dan Rodgers said: (quoted from post at 10:15:29 04/28/09) Just got a call from the JD Service Mgr. The cost to fix it is over $1,000. Only $168 are for parts. The rest is labor. He said the book says it's a 12 hr. job. So, I bit the bullet and ordered the book and parts and will do it myself. Pray for me guys!!!! Dan

You'll do OK...Not to tough a job, a cherry picker or overhead hoist comes in handy to lift off the axle housing. I did a similer job on a Ford 4000 for a leak. I had to pull the axles and housing.

Finese helps as the parts are to heavy to muscle about.

Take some pictures of your repair and post them if you can.....:<}
