That means the internal loads will increase and the cooling loads will increase. If the engine is designed to take these increased loads and tempertures and the lower powered versions of the engines all use the same high power components, all that will happen is that engine life, when run at high powers, will be less then that of a derated engine. However, if the derated engines use lower cooling flows, less piston crown cooling oil flow, different materials, etc, turning up the wick can lead to premature failures. The folks that designed your engine are the ones who need to answer the question you are asking.
