I bought a TC29D a year ago. I use it primarily for mowing with a 6' finish mower, but also use it with a 5' bush hog, plowing the garden (2 12" bottoms), tilling with a 5' tiller, grader blade work (6'), and moving dirt around with a 30" rear scoop. It does everything I ask of it with ease. It doesn't use much fuel and starts good, even in cold weather. It has plenty of power and the FWD provides good traction. The main reason I bought the NH over JD was because apparently the paint manufacturers don't charge as much for blue paint as they do for green, so I got the same features for less money. The NH dealer was much more pleasant to work with than the JD dealer. The only complaints I have are:

1) On the hydrostat models, the brakes and the hydro pedal are on the same (right) side, which makes it hard to brake steer. It would have been better to put the hydrostat pedal on the same side as the clutch (left), since I can't think of any reason a person would want to use the clutch and the hydrostat pedal at the same time.

2) The hydrostat pedal tends to "stick" sometimes. I've had the dealer out twice and they've checked everything including the cruise control magnet. It’s supposed to return to neutral on it’s own when I let up on the pedal, but it doesn’t always do that. It's intermittent, but when it does it I have to push back on the pedal with my heal to get the tractor to stop. I don’t know if they’re all like that or if there’s just something wrong with mine. I still have a year of warranty left, so I’m going to keep after them until the problem is fixed.
