Ford 545CPosted by Robster on May 21, 2009 at 11:43:27 from (12.153.253.190):
Hello, new to posting but have visited this site many times and find the info very usefull. I have an opportunity to purchase a solid Ford 545C 4x4 (with loader and hyd. scraper), and would like to also use it on occassion to pull a 10" offset allis chalmers disc a couple of times a year (about 8 acres of flat level ground). Will this damage the shuttle shift transmission, or should it handle it ok. Somewhere I heard that this was not good for the transmission. Any comments appreciated.
