Modern Tractor Discussion Board MF 399 Transmission whining noise [ Expand ] [ View Replies ] [ Add a Reply ] [ Return to Forum ] Posted by J_B on August 07, 2009 at 01:36:17 from (86.46.198.166): When the tractor is driving at top speed there is a whining noise that seems to be coming from the backend of the machine. When the tractor is going downhill the whining is not present. This leads me to believe it could be the pinion. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem and did they discover the cause of the noise?
