deutz 3607 steering cylinder helpPosted by wade patton on August 13, 2009 at 16:20:00 from (208.118.198.113): need to get it apart. anybody 'round here done that? has a set screw and ring with notch. removed set screw, and tapped ring loose. won't budge. nothing else obvious to do, no flats, notches, screws. just the end of the cylinder and some now bare threads. has been suggested that i reinstall ring/screw and see if the whole threaded part will release. don't want to shear the screw but that's what i'm about to do. google has not been helpful. thanks.
