Can"t say for certain, but i think you should have more than 2000 psi at the remotes... most of my tractors run 2500-2700 psi, that might explain lots of other things like power steering/3 point hitch chatter... or maybe compensator valve/priority valve not up to snuff. Latter more likely if 2000psi is to JD spec... i"m thinking a 2440 is closed centre hydraulics like the larger 40 series.
