8310 manifoldPosted by peanut80 on October 11, 2009 at 12:55:40 from (199.64.0.252):
Our 8310 has blown the manifold gasket twice. It had about 1200 hrs. on it the first time the JD mechanic said it was probably a problem from factory assembly. He repaired it and said it should be fine. It has now happened again at 2200 hrs. It is a two piece assembly and has leaked on both ends both times. The local machine shop said use studs and torque at 35 ft/lbs. is this correct? Or is this a problem with these engines?
