JD 5310 Fuel Tank ProblemPosted by Russ(Bolivia) on October 26, 2009 at 09:09:51 from (144.101.153.191):
I have a JD 5310 55HP tractor with a plastic fuel tank. When I run the tractor hard, it pulls a vacuum on the tank, causing the top to sag down. I have changed the fuel filter by the engine and drained about one quart of fuel from the bottom of the tank (it was clear). This started within the last six months. What is causing this? Is there some other filter I need to be looking at? Someone told me there was another filter around the fuel tank, but I cannot find it or any reference to another filter in my maintenance manual. Anyone have any ideas?
