what ya mean by high and low........is it idle to flatout then back>?.....or only 50rpm
if only moving a little.......just remeber some JD do that!......and engine 'hunting' like that ain't a major problem

noisy.....yup........ain't got no water jacket!....fix this......buy better quality earmuffs

backend?.....i no expert......hydrailcs 'stuttering' in the lift can be because of low oil.....even thin oil

a neighbour had one for a while but i was still in a pram then!......he also had a delfino 35! (2 cylinder).....my oleman used to have a jaguar 95 which would always give hydralic problems.......the linkage arms used to creep down on the road.....something to do with the releif valve?...he had it appart once....fixed it.....then it did it again....700hours later...he just sold the tractor, and brought a iseki
but....i am sure the minitauro was not known for any major faults......they had a good reputation over here....great little hill tractor.....could just be the pump needs new seals or something
recommend ya make sure ya can still get parts in your area for this baby.......we have no problems here in NZ...but they sold a lot of sames here.....your neck of the woods may be different

question?.....did ya find the temperature gauge?
