Re: WHATS A GOOD TRACTOR WITH LOADERPosted by BB on July 19, 2001 at 10:43:17 from (64.12.102.49): In Reply to: WHATS A GOOD TRACTOR WITH LOADER posted by MIKE NORTON on July 19, 2001 at 07:42:27:
I am sure you will get many opinions on which color of which model is best. I would say any of the compacts would do what you want. Most of the compacts are Japanese made. They make good cars and, from what I have seen, make excellent tractors also. I have a JD 950, 4WD, PS, with a JD 75 loader, 6' rotary cutter, and 5 1/2' box blade. It has 27 PTO hp and will do everything I need on my 24 acres. I paid $8500 for the tractor with loader. Demand is high for small to mid size tractors and they aren't cheap. There are a lot available though, so it is just a matter of looking for a good deal on a good tractor.
