It should never happen at all but history tends to repeat itself. IH equipment was always known to be solidly built and reliable. Way back in the 1970"s the Doncaster plant was bedeviled by strikes and industrial unrest and it reflected in the quality of the products. The very last IH tractor we had was always going back to the dealers for repair whilst our older MF tractors seem to just plod along without any trouble. It was not just us, suddenly our neighbours , some of which had been IH all their working lives were buying blue and white and green and yellow tractors as they were just sick of the poor quality stuff that IH were turning out at the time. I remember even my local IH dealer"s fitters told me they were utterly sick of doing warranty repairs.
We have the manual you need to repair, service or operate your tractor. These are reprints of the original factory manuals. If you are planning any work on your tractor, you'll appreciate having the manual. Current Special - FREE book offer.
