I have spent quite a few hours on a 2840. They are 80 hp, built in Mannheim, Germany, with a 6 cylinder 329cid diesel built at Saran, France. They are very smooth runners, great power steering, comfortable, a little short on low-end torque, and the clutch pedal effort is VERY stiff. Some people have had Hi-Lo problems with them, but we never did. They are not really low or small, they are about the same physical size as a 4020, but lighter and more manueverable. 3pt and 2 remotes were standard. If you are looking for a small tractor with big PTO power, you may want to look at a 2630/2640. 70hp in a more compact package. They were very popular as hay tractors. Sorry so long winded. Karl
